There was a dog who lived happily with his owner.
But one day he began to show signs of discomfort and weakness. His owner grew worried and took him straight to a vet clinic in their city.
The dog was admitted at once. The vets saw that he had severe ascites — a buildup of fluid in his abdomen.
They suspected his liver might be impaired, so they held back from any aggressive treatment at first.
After further evaluation they decided on a full examination. Blood tests showed slightly low albumin. An ultrasound was impossible, though, because there was too much fluid around his organs.
So the vets carried out a procedure and drained almost three liters of clear fluid. That took the pressure off his organs and let them work better. Then the treatment began.
The next day his condition was much improved. He was more alert and more active. But the vets knew the road ahead was still long.
Two days later they did an ultrasound and found the root cause of the ascites: a liver problem. They started treating it immediately.

Within a week, Bruno was back to his normal self. His owner was overjoyed to see him healthy again, and both were deeply grateful to the veterinary team.
His recovery was long and hard, but with proper treatment and love he overcame it.
This story is a reminder of how important it is to look after our animals. They rely on us to keep them safe and healthy, and it is our responsibility to give them the best care.
Because they are not just pets — they are family.
