It was supposed to be a quiet, ordinary moment at home. I sat down with a freshly brewed cup of tea, planning to enjoy the warmth and the familiar ritual of an evening drink. As I wound down, I took my final sip, savoring the last few drops from the bottom of the mug. Suddenly, my teeth met unexpected resistance. There was something solid in the liquid, something completely foreign to the drink. I stopped immediately, felt the strange texture against my tongue, and spat it out onto the table.
What I found lying there was utterly baffling. It was not a tea leaf, not a piece of sugar, and certainly not anything I had put into the cup myself.
