A Guide to Managing and Supporting Bee Swarms

If you happen to come across a large, swarming cluster of bees, there is no need to panic, call the fire department, or contact the police. Simply remain calm and, most importantly, do not move or attempt to harm them.

What you are witnessing is a temporary stop during the bees’ migratory journey. These swarms typically remain in one location for only about twenty-four hours before moving on. During this time, they are generally docile and focused on their queen rather than on attacking humans.

If you would like to help these insects, you can place a flat plate or tray nearby filled with a small amount of sugar water. This provides the bees with a quick source of energy, helping them recharge before they continue their travels. It is essential that we prioritize the protection of migratory bees, as they serve as our survival insurance. The role bees play in the global ecosystem is fundamental; without them, the survival of the human race would be at risk.
