My name is Rex. I was a disabled dog for many years

My name is Rex. I was a disabled dog for many years, watching the world from my small corner in the shelter. I saw other dogs getting adopted one by one, while I remained there because my legs couldn’t move. I smiled for them despite the pain, wishing someone could see that my heart still beat with love.
One day, a car stopped in front of me. A woman got out and smiled at me like no one ever had. She reached out her hand and said, “I want this dog.” I couldn’t believe it—I thought I was dreaming. She gently lifted me and held me like I was something precious. That was the start of my new life.
Now I live in a warm home for the first time. I have a bed, a small toy, and a window to look at the sky. But every night, I look around and whisper: “I finally found my home… but no one said congratulations. 💔
