When Stinger, a deaf Pit Bull, arrived at the shelter, his condition seemed critical. However, Carri Shipaila, the director of the LuvnPupz rescue in Greater Grand Rapids, Michigan, heard about Stinger and hurried to his rescue.

Without hesitation, she drove for almost an hour to retrieve him from the shelter. Although Stinger’s original owners did not claim him, Carri was resolute in her commitment to give him a chance to recover.

Carri and her team promptly began treating Stinger’s numerous injuries, which included his blisters, a severe skin infection, and sarcoptic mange. Despite their diligent efforts, they discovered that Stinger has Pemphigus, an autoimmune disease that will impact him permanently.

Because of the substantial expense of his ongoing medical treatment, Stinger will not be available for adoption. Instead, he has found a forever home with a foster family and will continue to receive the necessary treatment and therapy through LuvnPupz.

Stinger’s transformation since his departure from the shelter has been extraordinary. His painful blisters have healed, and his previously damaged skin now displays a beautiful white coat.
