Shot 6 times, Angel finds loving home
Meet Angel, a remarkable story of survival and resilience. Just days ago, she was found abandoned in the woods, her muzzle taped shut and her legs broken. By a stroke of luck, a compassionate couple stumbled upon her and, moved by her plight, took her in without hesitation. They immediately opened their hearts and home, offering her the care and love she desperately needed. Their selfless act of kindness provided her with a second chance at life, and in their nurturing embrace, she found comfort and security.
Upon bringing Angel home, they gently removed the tape and cleaned her up, realizing the extent of her pain. Unable to provide further help, they reached out for assistance. We quickly transported Angel to the hospital where extensive tests revealed a shocking discovery: she had been shot six times. One bullet remained lodged in her spine, resulting in paralysis.
Despite the cruelty she endured, Angel’s spirit shone through as she bravely underwent surgery to remove the bullet. Astonishingly, just two days later, Angel was recovering well and showed her gratitude with every wag of her tail. Four days into her recovery, Angel’s spirit continued to impress. Still battling a slight fever, she used a cart to move around, demonstrating unexpected progress in her mobility.
Her unwavering positivity and remarkable resilience quickly won the hearts of everyone who crossed her path. Despite the hardships she had faced, she maintained an infectious optimism that inspired all who encountered her. From being in a dire situation just two weeks ago, Angel has made incredible strides. Her foster family affectionately remarked on her angelic nature, confirming why the name Angel was perfect for her. Today marks a joyous milestone—Angel has been adopted by a compassionate woman who could see past her injuries to the loving dog beneath.
