In the caption of her latest post, the actress wrote, “Happy birthday, BW! We love you ♥️.”
Bruce’s wife, Emma Heming, also posted on social media to honor her husband’s 70th, sharing a photo of the star on an ATV.
She wrote, “Today is Bruce’s birthday, and if I know anything, it’s that there’s no bigger fan than a Bruce fan. So today, surround him with all your love—he will feel it, I swear, he will feel it. You are a strong team. I love that you’ve come together for him, and I am so grateful you’re here for him.”

Bruce married Heming in 2009, and the couple has two daughters: 12‑year‑old Mabel and 10‑year‑old Evelyn.

The “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” actress spoke about the retired actor’s health during a Q&A session in her Instagram Stories.
In February 2023, Bruce’s loved ones revealed he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia—one year after he “retired” from acting due to his battle with aphasia.

In one video, a fan asked the mother-of-three, “How’s your dad doing?” and Rumer replied, “He’s doing great, thanks for asking.”
She then added, “Actually, tomorrow is his 70th birthday, so please wish my dad a happy birthday.”
In February last year, Rumer also discussed her father’s condition during an interview for ITV, noting that the family “has rallied around each other.”
She shared, “He’s doing well. I think, like many people in California, we’re most afraid of wildfires and want to make sure everyone’s safe.”
“Because my family—we’re all so close—I think the most beautiful thing about how we support each other is that it’s so sweet, because we truly are one.”
Rumer then praised the relationship between Bruce and Demi, even after their divorce following 13 years of marriage.
Scout and Rumer wish their father Bruce Willis a happy 70th birthday.

Emma added, “So today, surround him with all your love—he will feel it, I swear he will feel it. You are a strong team. I love that you’ve come together for him, and I am so grateful that you’re here for him.”
Earlier this week, on Tuesday, Rumer spoke about her father Bruce Willis just one day before the star’s 70th birthday.
“I think what I’m most grateful for is that even after they separated, they created such a wonderful foundation where my sisters and I came first, that I never had to choose, and they never fought with each other.”
She also said, “We were a family and remain a family, no matter what…
“And I not only feel that this helped me build such a wonderful foundation for my own family, but now, as I’m navigating co‑parenting, I feel deep gratitude for the example they set.”
Earlier this month, Bruce’s wife Emma spoke about a shocking call she received from a “very prominent doctor” while caring for the retired actor, who is battling dementia.
She wrote on Instagram: “The other day, a very prominent doctor called me and told me that a relative of his had just been diagnosed with early‑onset Alzheimer’s.
“And they have three children aged 10, 12, and 14, and he needs all my resources, any contacts. And I was like, ‘What?’”
Emma continued, “And I do have contacts, and nothing makes me happier than being able to help and support the next caregiver, which I gladly did.”
“I just can’t wrap my head around why our doctors don’t already have a list of ways to support caregivers?” the mother of two asked her followers.
“Another thing that really upsets me is when I get messages from families whose loved ones have just been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia or some other kind of dementia, and they’re asking me for resources.”
Earlier this month, Bruce’s wife Emma shared the shocking call she received from a “very prominent doctor” while caring for the retired actor battling dementia. This happened in 2024 in New York.
“I’m not even in the same state as them, much less the same city. It’s very hard to pass along these resources, other than to the Frontotemporal Dementia Association or something like that.”
Heming added, “But it’s like telling them they need to do better. Doctors need to do better. Doctors really need a roadmap, just a little support.”

Last month she also posted a video on Instagram to celebrate National Caregivers Day.
In October of last year, Emma spoke about his struggle with dementia and said she wasn’t “hiding” the diagnosis from her daughters.
During an interview with Town & Country Magazine, Heming explained: “This disease is misdiagnosed, overlooked, misunderstood.
“So finally getting a diagnosis was a pivotal moment so I could learn what frontotemporal dementia is and tell our children about it.”
Emma added, “I never tried to sugarcoat it for them. They’ve grown accustomed to seeing Bruce fade over the years. I’m not trying to shield them from that.”

Emma said she wouldn’t let “Tourette’s syndrome tear our whole family apart. Bruce wouldn’t want that,” adding that she hopes to help “the next family.”
“I learned from our psychotherapist that if children ask questions, they’re ready to hear the answer. If we saw Bruce struggling, I would talk to the kids about it so they understand, but this is a chronic, progressive, and incurable disease.”
Heming told the magazine that their children generally “don’t discuss the endgame, and they haven’t asked about it.”
However, she said that Mabel and Evelyn “know that Dad isn’t going to get better.”
