In the 1970s, he was a legend

Bob Barker is still alive and well today. He is older than you might have thought, though, given today. He turned 99 years old on December 12, 2022.

It’s incredible that Bob is still in such good condition in 2021, even though he is 99 years old, which is a terrific age. Over the years, Bob has experienced several health issues. He has undergone surgery for prostate cancer, skin cancer, a partially blocked left carotid artery, a stroke, stitches, head, and knee injuries from falls in his home, and sutures.

In 2018, he experienced a particularly challenging year, visiting the hospital twice toward the end of the year as a result of agonizing back pain. Thus, he had a quiet 95th birthday celebration.

He is “simply relaxing,” according to his representative, and “he’ll probably have some family come by,” USA Today said in 2018 about him. He is currently recovering from his back injury. He is growing. He’s 95 today, so the procedure is a little slow.

Following the COVID-19 epidemic, many fans were concerned for Bob’s health, but TMZ reported in March 2020 that he was adjusting well to self-isolation at home in Los Angeles.

The tabloid claims that because of COVID-19, he has become more reserved around visitors, but his family has been feeding him and taking care of his medical requirements. He appears to be relaxing and viewing old movies, many of which were made during World War II.

Bob last made an April Fools’ episode of The Price Is Right in 2015, but he still loves the show and spoke to People in August 2021 about celebrating its 50th anniversary.

The first thing that comes to me when someone asks me what I liked best about working with Price is, of course, the money. Bob chuckled.

There was a lot to love, actually. I had the pleasure of working with a dedicated and talented cast and crew for 35 beautiful years. Being able to consistently emphasize to our viewers the importance of spaying and neutering their pets was something I treasured above all else.
