A poor dog with a belly so swollen it looked ready to burst.
She couldn’t stand and could barely move. She lay on her side, frightened, exhausted and so very heavy.
Panic and fear filled the air. “Calm down… you will be helped,” we whispered to her.
At first she didn’t trust us. Life had not been kind to her. She was an unhappy child of the streets.
Everything looked so bad. Who could hold back tears? Oh my God…
When we finally reached her, we realized how serious it was. Her body was so heavy that even three adults struggled to lift her into the crate.
Perhaps she had lived through terrible days, giving birth alone on the streets and fighting pain, hunger and fear.
With such a huge belly, helping her was incredibly hard. But we did not give up. She was rushed to the veterinary clinic.
She is still very sad. The doctors are running tests and doing everything they can. She will need time, and she will stay under care for a while.
Today, after one long day at the vet, she finally ate a little soft food. A small step, but a hopeful one.
May God continue to bless this poor baby.
For now, this unfortunate girl is safe. We will do everything possible to help her recover. She deserves a second chance at life.
Thank you to everyone who shared, cared and supported us. Thank you to our sponsors for making this rescue possible.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
