Her Legs Were Deformed, and Everyone Avoided Her, Afraid She Had Mange

We found Ayla near a house, struggling to move across the ground.

Her tiny body was covered with mange, and her front legs were severely deformed. The unbearable itching forced her to drag herself over the rough concrete, desperately trying to find even a moment of relief.

We followed Ayla to discover where she had come from and found three other dogs nearby.

The family living there explained that the animals were not theirs. They were strays, and the family had been giving them food and water whenever possible. They wanted to help, but they did not have enough money to provide the medical treatment the dogs desperately needed.

That was when we decided to intervene.

We took Ayla and the other dogs with us and immediately brought them to a veterinary clinic.

After a thorough examination, the doctors discovered that Ayla was severely malnourished. Her front legs had become deformed because of a serious calcium deficiency combined with prolonged neglect.

The examination also revealed something unexpected: there was a stone inside her stomach.

At first, we feared that she would require surgery. Fortunately, treatment and laxatives helped her pass the stone naturally.

It was our first small victory, but Ayla’s recovery had only just begun.

We developed a nutritious, carefully balanced diet to strengthen her fragile body and restore the calcium she had been missing for so long.

Ayla received a soft bed and a quiet room where she could stay away from noise and confusion. For the first time, she had a peaceful place where she could sleep without fear.

During the first few days, she slept almost continuously.

Her exhausted body desperately needed rest.

Gradually, however, things began to change.

Week after week, Ayla regained her strength. The pain decreased, and she started standing with more confidence.

Her weakened legs still required assistance, so we placed a small cast on one of her feet to help it heal in the correct position.

At first, Ayla clearly disliked the cast. But before long, she became accustomed to it, and her legs slowly grew stronger.

When the day finally came to remove the cast, everyone watched anxiously.

Ayla stood up.

She was steady, courageous and finally free.

The itching gradually disappeared, and healthy fur began covering her body again. Her eyes became brighter, and the frightened little dog we had found was slowly revealing her true personality.

Ayla was returning to life.

Soon, we arranged a temporary home for her. There, she met new friends, learned to play and discovered what happiness felt like.

Not long afterward, the perfect permanent family appeared.

Her new father arrived to take her home, and saying goodbye was filled with both happiness and sadness. Ayla had become deeply important to us, and watching her leave was bittersweet.

But this was exactly the future we had hoped to give her.

Today, Ayla lives the life she always deserved. Her loving father provides her with safety, care and affection, and she spends every day surrounded by warmth.

Once, she could only crawl across concrete in pain.

Now, she runs toward the person who loves her.

Ayla’s transformation proves how completely compassion can change a life.
