Father Alleges Daughter Died Following Unauthorized Cosmetic Surgeries Orchestrated by Ex-Wife

A Mexican man has accused his ex-wife and her boyfriend, a plastic surgeon, of causing the death of his 14-year-old daughter following a series of unauthorized cosmetic procedures. The teenager, Paloma Nicole Arellano Escobedo, passed away in a hospital in Durango, Mexico. While her official death certificate cited a respiratory illness resulting in cerebral edema, her father, Carlos Arellano, insists the document is a fabrication intended to conceal the true cause of her passing.

Carlos Arellano alleges that his daughter was subjected to breast augmentation, a Brazilian butt lift, and liposuction without his knowledge or consent. According to the father, the surgeries were allegedly arranged by her mother as a gift for the girl’s upcoming fifteenth birthday and were performed by the mother’s partner, who works in the plastic surgery field.

The tragedy began to unfold when the father was informed by his ex-wife that Paloma had contracted COVID-19 and was being taken to the mountains for recovery. Shortly thereafter, he was informed that the girl had been hospitalized in serious condition. It was not until the funeral, however, that the severity of the situation became apparent. Relatives observed that the teenager’s physical appearance had changed, specifically noting that her breasts appeared significantly larger than they had been previously.

Despite the mother’s denial when confronted, the father verified the physical evidence himself while saying goodbye to his daughter at the funeral. He confirmed the presence of both breast implants and surgical scars. Driven by grief and a demand for justice, he has since filed a formal complaint with law enforcement. He asserts that the official cause of death was falsified to prevent the discovery of the surgeries and is now calling for a full investigation to hold all responsible parties accountable for their actions. The case has sparked significant public outrage across Mexico as authorities continue their probe into the circumstances surrounding the teenager’s death.
