Understanding and Protecting Migratory Bee Swarms

If you ever come across a large, dense cluster of bees gathered on a tree or fence post, there is no need to be afraid. Do not call the police, the fire department, or emergency services, and most importantly, do not move or attempt to kill them. What you are witnessing is a swarm of bees resting, likely stopping for only about 24 hours while they search for a new place to build a hive. If you want to help them, simply place a shallow dish or tray filled with some sugar water nearby. The bees will use this to regain their energy before they continue on their journey. It is crucial that we all do our part to protect migratory bees, as they serve as our survival insurance. Without these essential pollinators, human life on earth would not be sustainable.
