Palace insider reveals that Kate Middleton’s health is being shrouded in “Radio Silence”
It may be par for the course for the Royal Family to keep as much of their private affairs as possible behind a curtain, but the tactic may be coming back to bite them where Kate Middleton’s health is concerned.
Unless you’ve been on a remote island with no access to the outside world for the duration of 2024 so far, you’ll be aware that the Princess of Wales underwent “planned abdominal surgery” in January.
Last week, after Prince William was forced to withdraw from a planned appearance at a memorial service for the late King Constantine of Greece, it was claimed in several quarters that perhaps he had done so as he needed to be with his wife.

Cue renewed interest in Kate’s health, prompting the bandying of all manner of conspiracy theories online. Yesterday a spokesperson for Prince William issued a statement to People Magazine detailing that the Prince of Wales was focused on his work, not on the swirling storms of conjecture to be found on the internet.

Of course, it’s more than reasonable to argue that Kate Middleton has a right to privacy as she recovers from what surely must have been a serious procedure. Her status as one of the senior members of the Royal Family means people will always be curious as to what is happening, but if she wants to get better away from the flashing of cameras and intrusive questions of the media, she’s entitled to that.
On the other hand, the Palace could arguably have done a better job in projecting the sort of transparency that might have put paid to wild rumor and speculation.
On February 29, a spokesperson said: “We were very clear from the outset that the Princess of Wales was out until after Easter and Kensington Palace would only be providing updates when something was significant.”

Do you think the Palace has been up front and truthful regarding Kate Middleton? Let us know.
