Chancel Cove Digging Incident: Potential Buried Cables or Unknown Structure, Tremors Reported

Story image
😪 I accidentally planted too deep at chancel cove what do I do 😪 “I was over seeding grass at the chancel cove area and thought I was going to deep with the shovel. I noticed it was causeing things to shake alot and went down further than normal cause of the moist dirt. ” ? And at one point I turned it quick and hit some kinda metal thing which let off a noise like someone was hitting a pipe. Then suddenly it felt like something started to hum or pulse from under ground from that spot. From folks behind me they ran to tell me that it shook over where they were at as well. Its since calmed down but last I checked still a humming or pulsing feeling under my shoe if touch the ground there now. Did I hit some buried cable maybe or was this something built by the company long ago I should avoid ? 😪 *Full story
🥺ALSO FOR CLARITY am at work as a landscaper here thus the digging in the dirt 👍🥺 continued in the subcontract subchannel link also for those whom didn’t get the community coverage announcement. Do try to avoid the area for now regardless. Rate of tremors is still rising since last check. Faultline or engineers mistake? We’ve called for diagnostics but no answer so far. Any one else
*Known issues not rendered on our map before… maybe ?🌿 Subject was given a stern warning about digging already 🏳️‍🌈 as evidently he isn’t aware even landscapers aren’t supposed to dig at depths under six inches even for aeration without written permission 🖊️ protocol. Haven’t found out what he hit yet but…… got folks here measuring readings now from the tremors now or possibly nearby cabling interference⚡. Local engineers are saying they don’t show any underground pathways protocolled here though. So…not entirely sure frankly 🏠. 🚫 EDIT/CONT. . . .First rule normally is don’t talk about what we find so I’ll still post updates for safety needs but please don’t spread panic 🚫. [All should be well unless seismic activity picks up again i guess ?]. Also work can normally resume within the hour was told just stay clear of the area for now years or till we catch up diagnostics 👨‍⚕️] Using sonic mapping as we speak so maybe soon =>tests are reading signals from deeper than first thought, around sixty foot down though readings are intermittent now sounds seem to be getting farther away heading northeast toward the old reservoir somewhere measurements indicate 📏 Kudos 𝕊ignals scaled up to 3.2 till power was cut cold now temporary thinking just looks like radio arrays got crossed 🎚️ Contact resuming tomorrow if it’s deemed safe to dig further. Definitely seemed artificial though the response something dead saturday puzzle etc 😅 attacks maybe team expected thi 🕵️‍♂️🙌😭😵‍💫The air crackled with a tension that wasn’t just from the sudden chill. The humming persisted, a low thrum that vibrated through the soles of his boots. He’d been warned – the unspoken rule of the job, the one that always came back to haunt you – to avoid trouble. And now, he’d practically unearthed a mystery.

He kept a wary eye on the area, the churned earth a visible wound in the otherwise manicured landscape. The foreman, a man whose face usually held a practiced air of calm, now looked as though he’d just swallowed a bumblebee. The other landscapers, usually chatting amongst themselves, moved with a quiet seriousness, their faces etched with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension. He saw the engineers arrive, their equipment gleaming under the weak sunlight, their movements precise and deliberate. He overheard snippets of hushed conversation: “Intermittent signals… deeper than anticipated… sixty feet down…”

The initial fear began to give way to an uneasy curiosity. The “radio array” theory, while plausible, didn’t quite gel with the guttural pulse he’d felt through the ground. It felt… more alive. The thought, as unsettling as it was, kept nagging at him.

As the sun began to dip, painting the sky in shades of bruised purple and orange, the foreman finally approached. “Alright,” he said, his voice low, “we’re calling it a day. No one’s going near that area. Engineers are running tests overnight. We’ll know more in the morning.” He paused, his gaze meeting the landscaper’s, “And you, stay away from the Chancel Cove area. Understand?”

He nodded, the weight of the day settling on him. He’d made a mistake, a big one. But as he watched the engineers pack up their gear and the last of the crew disperse, a strange feeling stirred within him. It wasn’t fear anymore, but a sense of anticipation. Something was hidden beneath the surface, and he had a feeling this wasn’t the end.

The next morning dawned crisp and cold. He arrived at work, heart pounding. The Chancel Cove area was cordoned off with yellow tape, a stark warning against intrusion. The engineers were back, their faces grim, their equipment humming with a renewed intensity.

He kept a distance, his gaze fixed on the epicenter of the mystery. After a long wait, the foreman called him over. “Well,” the foreman said, his voice devoid of its usual easygoing tone, “they found something. The sonic mapping… it wasn’t a radio array. It was an old, deactivated seismic monitoring station, built decades ago by a research group.”

The landscaper breathed a sigh of relief. “So… safe now?”

The foreman hesitated. “Mostly. The station itself is inert. But… they also detected something else. A second, much fainter signal, coming from deeper down. It’s faint, erratic, and…” He trailed off, searching for the right words. “It’s not of this world.”

The landscaper’s blood ran cold. “Not of this world?”

“The engineers believe it’s some kind of geological anomaly,” the foreman said. “Could be nothing. But it’s also possible, it’s something we don’t understand. For now, they’re going to try and contain it, and then cover it up as per protocol. They’ll fill in the hole and plant some tough stuff. A memorial garden perhaps, to keep people out of it.”

He was warned that he wouldn’t be digging there again. But even after his warning, it felt like he was digging. The soil he was planting would be the top layer of a far more dangerous hidden secret. He had a feeling, that deep down, the hum wouldn’t be silenced, and one day, it might awaken again.
