Instead, they took a methodical approach, focusing on improving her overall health and building up her strength so her body could withstand the rigors of anesthesia. On December 8th, the dedicated medical staff finally headed into the operating room for the critical procedure. Their patience, precision, and careful preparation paid off, and the surgery was a complete success. Following the operation, Nina was transitioned into the care of a medical foster family affiliated with Wright Way Rescue, where she has been nurtured in a quiet, loving environment crucial to her healing process.
Post-operative biopsy results provided a complex update, revealing that while the smaller tumors were fortunately benign, the massive growth was diagnosed as a soft tissue sarcoma. Despite this diagnosis, Nina has shown a remarkable spirit and is responding well to her recovery plan.
