William’s decision not to attend the memorial service for King Constantine came as a surprise at the time, and the palace did not give a reason why at the time other than that it was “personal.” Later, a subsequent Mother’s Day photo fiasco set the rumor mill into overdrive.

According to the Daily Mail “Kate had only just been diagnosed with cancer ahead of beginning chemotherapy, it was revealed tonight – after Buckingham Palace had initially said the previous month her condition was non-cancerous.”

It is expected that William will now cut back on his official royal to be with his wife and three children as Kate

After the January surgery William adjusted his schedule to devote more time to his family. After the January operation the palace stated that Kate did not have cancer and that she would reappear for royal duties after Easter. That timeline is now in question.

Kate was admitted to the London Clinic in January for what the palace termed a “planned” abdominal surgery. They gave no further details and asked the public to respect the family’s privacy.

All three attend the £24,000-a-year Lambrook School near their home and enrolled together in September 2022.

Kate’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton live 30 miles away in Bucklebury, Berkshire, and her siblings Pippa, 40, and James, 36, are also close by in Bucklebury.
